I've read all the books so far in the Ghosts of America series and like them all. Each story is well written and well edited. Each story is a personal account by the person it happened to so if you believe in spirits/ghosts or not you know that something unusual happened. These stories are not like reading a Stephen King or H P Lovecraft book there are no sensational or wildly disturbing events going on. You could live next door to one of these people and not even reliase what was going on next door unless they told you about it. I like this series of books and look forward to reading each one not just once but several times.Product details

I just love the "Every Day Joe" nature of this series. Whether you accept the veracity of these testimonies or dismiss them as nothing more than basic bunk, one cannot deny that reading them is both engaging and somewhat addictive. They are for me somewhat like that ball park bag of roasted peanuts that you discover has become impossible to put down . . . each and every peanut demanding to be shelled. I can hardly wait for the next paranormal peanut offered by the Ghost f America series.

I live in Mineral Wells Tx and this town is very haunted, I was disappointed that there was not more in this book about Mineral Wells but I did enjoy the book
Poorly written. Little or no editing. Did the stories really happen? The writing appears as though one person wrotem them all; not a collection of the original authors.

Read the story about Denton ( chapter 2 - ? ) not sure I understand what the editing accomplished except to illustrate it was poorly done. Recounting the facts without the obscure metaphors and personal conjecture make for a good story. That's not what I found in this volume, sorry. Gong.
I don't know how or why, but there certainly seems to be an unusual amount of paranormal happenings and activity in the area of the state of Texas! These stories from your every day people simply confirm that fact. My only problem with this book is the fact that many of these stories I've already read in the OTHER "Ghosts of America" series by Lautner, therefore making them feel like reruns to read them again.
